The Grail Guardian, also known as the Knight Templar, is a pivotal character in the Indiana Jones franchise, first appearing in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
He is the last surviving of three brothers who swore an oath centuries ago to protect the Holy Grail. He resides within the Temple of the Grail, guarding the many false grails from those who would seek the true one for selfish purposes.
